Pettersen picked for ‘body’ issue

Suzann Pettersen, a 31-year-old Norwegian, will be among 27 athletes who will display their birthday suits in the fourth-annual “Body Issue” in ESPN The Magazine.

Pettersen, currently fifth in the Rolex World Rankings, is the highest-ranked player of either gender to pose for the magazine in the four years it has published the issue featuring athletes showing off their physiques. The issue will be available July 13.

Pettersen said on her Twitter today: ‘I guess the news has come out! Yes, Iam one of the athletes in ESPN’s body issue! It was a different experience but an honor to be asked!’

Flashy Sandra Gal

In the past PGA golfer Camilio Villegas has appeared in the ‘Body Issue’ as well as other LPGA competitors Christina Kim, Belen Mozo, Anna Grzebien and Sandra Gal.

Gal has made a career on flash, rather than substance. She has won just once in four years on the LPGA Tour but the statuesque 6-footer has drawn attention for her stunning looks.

Pettersen will be featured in the issue along with the likes of New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, soccer standout Abby Wambach, Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista and Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew.
